Crafty Calender Challenge - Spring

I cant believe its the first Saturday of the month again, where is time flying too ???? Im so busy lately and have so much exciting stuff going on it seems like the clock is set to forward !!!! Ill will be sharing all my exciting new with you all soon.
Anyway onto my DT card for crafty calender. This month the theme is spring, although I think my card looks a bit more autumny, opps hehehe Make sure you pop over to see all the gorgeous DT creations.

I thought I would share something a little different with you today, I very rarely show people my sketches as I dont think I am very good at drawing but I thought for a change I would show you one. I think her head is too fat but hey practice makes perfect and all that.

Dragonfly Cards

I made these cards using Alcohol Inks, Glossy Card, Crafty Individual dragonfly stamp and a tim holtz stamp. It seems like ages since I have made a card !!!! The Alcohol ink backgrounds I made a while back and decided today to make them into something. Im really pleased with how they turned out, I love vibrant bold colours.

Fabbo Weekend

Ive had such a brilliant weekend at Art from the Heart, it was the ranger u mini weekend. I met 5 other lovely crafters and of course Dyan was her usual lovely self, thanks Dyan for such a great weekend, I had such a great time. Here is what I made over the weekend, I was so pleased with how everything turned out. On Saturday we played with alcohol inks learning all the different techniques you can do with them, then we bound them into a folder which you could decorate anyway you wanted. We also used alcohol inks to alter a small tin and a ranger case. Sunday was a bit more of a free to play day we started off my using dyans ghosting technigue and making mini books, which I much say I absolutely love !!!! we then used the new destress stains with dylusion srays to make backgrounds. In the afternoon we made a canvas book which is absolutely FAB !!!! I really loved making this, I finished sewing my tags into the book this morning but I still need to complete it so I will show this in more detail once its done.

Wow live seems to have going into full gear lately !!!! I'm so busy that I dont even know what day it is hahahaha but its busy in a good way, a lot of exciting stuff is happening in my life at the moment and I cant wait to share it all with you, watch this space, all will be releaved soon !!!!

I thought I would share with you a journal page I have done recently. The boarders are hand drawn and background I made using yumming dylusions, talking of Dyan im soooo excited im going to art from the heart this weekend for the mini ranger u weekend woohoo should be great fun and im looking forward to learning some new techniques. Also its always lovely to see dyan and have a good catch up.

Hope your all well just a quickie today, this is a page from my A5 journal I definately think this is my favourite size for journalling. I dont know about you but I can never think what to write in my journals some peoples journals are so deep and meaningful and most of mine is a little bit random, oh well I suppose it suits my rather random personality hehehehehe xxx

The Altered Alice

As soon as I saw The Altered Alice Challenge blog, I knew I wanted to join in. This month the challenge is changing form they want to either see a dress form on your piece or something changing form from what it originally was, I hope my button flowers count in the changing form category. I made this page in my A4 journal, the background I made by layering up loads of ripped dictonary pages the covering them with gesso then sparying using some scrummy dylusions, I just love the shimmer that Dyans mica sprays give. The images are from the Octopode Factory which I just love.



I hope everyone had a lovely Valentines day yesterday. My lovely hubby came home from work early with a card that has the most beautiful words in it and a dozen gorgeous red roses :) Ill add at this point that he cycles to work and they were sticking out of his backpack bless him hehehehe we had a lovely romantic evening at home, a lovely hot bubble bath with tons of candles and music followed by a delish M&S dinner hmmmmmm we also polished off a bottle of rose cava, well more like I polished it off and managed to get the hubster to have a glass hahahahaha

Happy Valentines Day Everyone

Hey everyone, hope you are all having a lovely valentines day and being spoilt rotten. Im waiting for my better half to come home from work so I can spoil him, we dont really buy valentines pressies anymore, however this morning ive been baking him some yummy cupcakes, mind you they are the size of muffins there really big, and very pink !!!! hahahaha I accidentally put far too much colouring in the icing oh well such is life as long as they taste good who cares what they look like !!!!! I thought id also share with you some journal pages ive made recently, I really loved making these pages, I did loads of collaging on these two using papers, paints, stickers, glitter, gesso, oil pastels you name it, I think its probably on there hahahaha

update ... YAY oh my friend Dawn has put some piccies on here blog of the photoshoot we did on friday. The theme, Little Red Riding Hood with a Grimmes twist. Pop over for a nose and let dawn know what you think. I think the photos came out fab, thanks darling xxxx

Playing with beeswax

Hey everyone, I had a brilliant day yesterday I went all the way to Harrogate to see the lovely Dyan at Art from the Heart and to play with beeswax !!! it was great fun and Dyan was as lovely as ever. We made 12 tags and a tin using 7 gypsies papers, dylusions sprays and stamps and stampotique stamps and of course beezwax. I really love the effect beeswax gives its really cool and will now definately be saving up for a melt pot hehehehe does the never ending craft wish list ever end ??? hahahahaha

Crafty Calender Challenge - LOVE

It's the first saturday of February which means its time for another crafty calender challenge. This month's challenge which has been set by the lovely Ruth is 'Love'. So you can make anything you like that is related to 'Love' ... Valentines, Hearts, Weddings etc.

I used some of my Octopode images from the Alan Poe sheet, love these octopode images so much. The background I made using Claudine Hellmuth's studio paints and oil pastels. The text and the scroll is hand drawn.

Journal Calender Challenge

Opps im a little late posting this one, which is annoying as I had it made it plenty of time, oh well hahahahahaha Heres my February journal page for Katies calender challenge. I suppose with Valentines day just around the corner the use of red and hearts was a little obvious hehehehehe above the little houses I wrote the house that love built, if your a double clicker, which I know Katie is youll probably notice hehehehe also I put a little heart on one of the houses, its at a slant for a reason that way rather than having the No. 37 on it, it now has the No. 3 which is mine and the hubster house No. ewwwwwww now I wanna throw up hahahahaha
