A Spoonfull of Sugar Sketch Challenge

I really enjoyed this sketch challenge and i liked using the bright cc challenge colours so much i thought i would make this card nice and summery too. The background papers were all from Tara, thanks again hun xxxx the flowers are prima with gems in the centres and ribbon is from my stash. As always i have coloured my image using watercolour pencils.

Anyway thats it for today, the weather here is beautiful so im going to sit in the garden with a nice cold glass of rose :) hmmmmmm yum

3 Challenges in 1 Card !!!!

Im quite impressed with myself I managed to combine 3 challenge into one card the challenges are:-

Roses on Paper - to use flowers on your card using the criteria for another blogs challenge (hope that makes sense).

Create and Colour - I choose to use the colours Strawberry (red), Kiwi (green) and Tangerine (orange). I also did the extra challenge option of adding fruit to my card using some strawberry stamped images.

and finally ...

Just Magnolia - The challenge was to make a summery card.

The papers I used on my card where sent to me from Tara, thanks again hun xxx The felt orange ribbon and gems are from my stash. The flowers were prima with a red brad for the centre which I added stickles too to make it sparkly and the swirls and corner die are by sizzix.

My Fathers Dard Card and a BIG Thank You to Tara xxx

First off here is the card I made for my dad for fathers day, im not really happy with it but i alway seem to find mens cards so hard to make, maybe because i cant cover it head to toe is flowers, gems and swrils hehehehe The papers are from a papermania stack, I paper peiced edwins clothes (I did make this card for the just magnolia blog but I miss the deadline, oh well) sentiment is from a hero art set and buttons are from stash.

Oh well enough of my failure of a card and on to far more exciting things :) i wanted to thank Tara for the brilliant package i found last night :) i say found because my bad postie put it in my bin store as it was too big to fit through my letter box and never put a note in the door to let me know it was there !!!! i would have had all these beautiful goodies to play with since monday otherwise, oh well alls well that ends well :) look at my FAB new stash !!!! i was only expecting some die cut orchids for my wedding scrapbook and once again Tara has been too good to me and given me loads to play with. Thank you so much darling, i love everything and the card you made me (well i suppose i should say us as its for me and jay) is absolutely stunning, its now pride of place on my fire place :) xxxx

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Celebrations

PBSC is 1 year old, Happy Birthday, and to celebrate they are giving away 10, yes I know 10 prizes for this weeks challenge, which is to make a card for a celebration, I thought seems there 1 years old I would make a birthday card for the occassion. The papers are K&Co., pink ribbon and a big gem butterfly from stash. Flowers are prima with gems and buttons in the centres. I used a texture pearl pen thing (cant remember what its called) that Tara gave me to make little dots around the scolloped edge of my image. The sentiment is by stamp away. As always i have coloured my image with watercoloured pencils.

80th Birthday Card and CC Challenge

My friend asked me to make a card for her mum who will be 80 this week. Her favourite colours are pink and green so I thought perfect I can combine it into my colour creat challange card. The extra option this week was die cuts so I thought what good excuse to use my new nesties :) the image is from fairysong art stamps by valerie wade (love these images) the papers are basicgrey, two scoops. flowers are all prima with gems for the centres. Leaf punch by leone brought from the glitterpot. The numbers and letter are also dies, think they are called fairy letters? by cuttle bug. i added gems all around the image in the scalloped edge and added stickles to her wings, i do love abit of sparkle.

I am just too happy for words !!!!

Ive won Laceys jam packed blog candy, I cant believe it, I never win anything !!! I am just so happy and excited hehehehe I cant stop smiling and i've woken everyone up in my office with my squealing, I feel like a kid in a sweetie shop, thanks again Lacey xxxx

Rose's On Paper Challenge

I really enjoyed making this card, the challenge was to use the colours pink, yellow and green. I couldn't resist using this gorgeous new miss anya image, I paper pieced her clothes and added some cute little green heart buttons to her jacket. All the papers used where basic grey, two scoops (love these basic greys !!!!) The pink swirls I made using a sizzix die then I added stickles all around the edges and tiny green gems to the ends for a bit of added sparkle. All the flowers are by prima with gem brads and buttons added to the centres. The leafs are a leone punch. I am also putting this card forward to become a guest DT member for the new bells and whistles blog, fingers crossed I'd love to become a DT member for them.

2 Cards today

I am so pleased with how this card came out, I was asked to make a card for an 18th birthday. I knew the person it was for loves Iron Maiden as he went to the same concert as me last year. The image I printed off the net, the letters and numbers were all dies that I cut out and the skull and crossbones is also a die by cuttlebug that I added gems to just to give it a little sparkle.




I made last night, I got this stamp free with this months craft stamper magazine, this little owl is just so cute, I even stamped him inside my card. The papers are K&Co. from a paper pad that Julie sent me. Leaf dies were from Tara a while back and flower are prima ones from my stash, in the centre of my flowers I used, brads, buttons and gems

I felt like my blog needed a little brightening up, what do you think ??? does it look better than the old black and purple or have I made a mistake ??? not only that I really didnt want to change my old blog header as Alex kindly made it for me but it didnt go with the new background, I hope she wont be offended .....

Colour Create Challenge

The challenge this week was every colour of the rainbow and the bonus was to make a scene with your background. I actually managed to colour each bit of my new miss anya with the rainbow colours.
Red - Sunglasses
Orange - Flip Flops
Yellow - Hair
Green - Top
Blue - Trim on Top
Indigo - Bow
Violet - Skirt
I made a sun in the background using buttons and ribbon and used some dew drops that Julie gave me to make some pebbles. The sentiment is from a hero art stamp set and i thought it went perfect with this card 'sending you sunshine and laughter'

Whiff of Joy Challenge - Charms

I cant believe I made my first christmas card yesterday and it only June !!!! but when I was trying to choose which woj image to use for this challenge I saw this one and I think this was the one that made me fall in love with woj's so I just couldn't resist and I found this little angel charm in my stash and thought it would be lovely with this image.

And i used one of my gorjuss girls images, i love these stamps there so cute. This is also the first time i have used my new nestabilities :) The lace and ribbons used are from my stash and the swirls were given to me in a swap ages ago. The sentiment is from a hero arts stamp set.

I cant beleieve the postie delivered these beauties to me this morning, I'd only just ordered them yesterday from dies to die for at about 3.30pm. I am so happy roll on the weekend so I can play with my new fab stamps :)

I came home the other day to find this lovely package of goodies on my door step :) Thank you so much Jules everything is lovely and the card you sent with them is absolutely stunning and what happens when a girl has new stash .....


I made this card for the whiff of joy challenge and it was only this morning when I came round to taking some piccies that I realised doh, its a sweet ebony image - oh well never mind hehehehe ill just have to make another. Everything on this card was made with made with my new stash except the charm which I brought from ebay a while back.
