More Sweet Pea Goodness

This image is called poppy love, isnt she stunning !!!! I coloured her using watercolour pencils and I added stickles to her tail. The papers are basic grey I think and the flowers are prima with buttons and gems for the centres. I so im love with these sweet pea stamps everyone of these images are gorgeous.

Another Sweet Pea

I had a field day playing with my sweet peas yesterday and made 4 cards :) this is one I made using the gorgeous purple woods image. I watercoloured the image and added stickles for a bit of sparkle, which you cant see at all in these photos. I have no idea what brand these papers are ive had them so long. The flowers are all prima with brads for the centres and the leafs are a leone punch. Butterfly gems and ribbon I found in my stash.

WOW this image is soooo gorgeous, it was really hard to choose which one to use first, this image is called winter watcher and I thought she was going to be hard to colour at first but I really enjoyed using this image I decided to stick to 2 colours, purple and blue which i think worked out well. Cant wait to get my little inky fingers colouring in the next one now hehehehe

I coloured the image using watercolour pencils and used a silver pen to colour in the trees in the background, this doesnt show brilliantly in the pictures. The background card I made myself using purple card stock, a flourish stamp and black stazon ink. The flowers are petaloo (or something like that) with buttons for the centres and the gems and ribbon are from my stash.

Oh my word my new sweet pea stamps have arrived this morning and wow there gorgeous (cant believe they arrived so quickly I only ordered then last wednesday from Sweet Pea Stamps in America !!!) I counting down till 5.30 now so I can go home and play. The only question is which one do I ink up first ekkkkk hehehehehe

Pollycraft Challenge - Things with Wings

I couldn't resist this challenge as the first thing that pops into my head for things with wings was or course faries :) used one of the lovely fairy song art stamps, still love this collection. I coloured her using watercolour as usual and then used stickles on her wings and eye shadow (doesnt show up brilliantly in the photo) The papers are basic grey, the flowers are prima and the leafs are a leone punch. Ribbon and gems from my stash.

What can I say I am in love with these new tim holtz 2010 CHA stamps, arent they gorgeous they really remind me of vintage style tattoo lettering. I brought these from the lovely dyan over at art from the heart and I have to say it arrived in the loveliest packaging and really quickly I would definately recommend her shop and she has some of the lovelist crafting stock ive seen. I have no affliation with her shop I am just really happy customer.

The girl is on a roll !!!! - WOJ Love Challenge

What can I say im on a roll, it seemed like ages since I had uploaded anything and now I cant stop hehehehe made this card for the whiff of joy challenge which is love. I used the lovely melinda holding heart stamp which I water coloured as usual and smudged pink chalk around the edge and distressed. The flowers are prima with gems and pearls for the centres. The sentiment is by stamp aways and the heart stamp came free with last months craft stamper magazine. I think maybe this card is a little too plain? maybe i should have used some ribbons across it or another patterned paper as well as this one?

Sugarbowl Challenge

Check me out 2 cards in 2 days hahahahaha I made this card for the sugarbowl challenge which I must say I really enjoyed this layout, i didnt know what to do with the 4 squares to begin with but decided to cut my image up which i think worked out quite well. The extra challenge was to use lace so i used my doily punch. Papers are MME and the image is one of my gorjuss girl images (still love this images) ive coloured her using watercolour pencils and then used green chalk around the edge. The sentiment was a freebie from a magazine. Flower is a prima one with a button and ribbon for the center and the leafs are a leone punch.

Crafty Calander Challenge - Love

Well its that time again, its the first friday of the month so that means crafty calander challenge. I cant believe how quickly January has flown by !!!! This months theme is love and friendship with the added option of using hearts on your project. I wanted to make something that wasnt the obvious option of a valentines card so I used this opportunity to make an anniversary card for my husband, although our 1st wedding anniversary isnt untill the 2nd May. I used a photo from our wedding day for this card and thought it came out well. I hope he likes it when i give it to him in May.

Art Journaling

I promised I would be a better blogger after being a bit non existant over the last month or two !!! ive not been making any cards at the moment because after finally getting all the christmas craft fairs out the way I can finally continue on my wedding scrapbook so most of my spare time ive been scrapping away (i may share some piccie of some pages with you, if anyone wants to see them that is). I thought i would share with you today this art journal page i did before christmas but didnt get a chance to put it on here. Im so pleased with how this page turned out and reflects exactly how i was feeling at the time i made it :)

Is anyone else fed up with the snow now !!!! i cant ever remember it lasting this long before, so fed up with being cold all the time and scraping the car it was lovely for a couple of days but now its not so lovely .... roll on the summer hehehehehe

Happy New Year

WOW where did December go ???? cant believe how quickly time has flown and christmas is all over now :( Well not only is it the first day of the year but it is also the first friday of the month, which mean crafty calander challege !!! this months challege is keeping warm with the added challenge of using texture on your card. Cant believe i made a christmas card for this challenge, like i wasnt already sick of making like 10 million before christmas hehehehehe please pop over and check out the other DT cards there all fab.
